As a Principal Solution Architect, you will be responsible for shaping and driving large-scale modernization efforts across our technology landscape. Your role will involve guiding the transition from legacy systems to modern architectures, integrating cutting-edge technologies, and ensuring the scalability and security of our platforms. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, engineering, product, and business leaders, to design and implement solutions that support our vision for digital transformation in the life sciences and healthcare domains.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Solution Architecture: Develop and lead the overall architecture strategy for modernization initiatives, including cloud migration, microservices adoption, and data platform evolution.

  • Transformation Leadership: Drive the transformation of legacy systems into modern, scalable, and secure platforms using advanced tools like Snowflake, Python, Angular, and React for front-end frameworks.

  • Cloud Platforms: Architect and implement solutions leveraging cloud technologies such as Azure or AWS or Google Cloud, focusing on cloud-native architectures (serverless, microservices, and containerization using Kubernetes and Docker).

  • Data Platform Modernization: Spearhead modernization initiatives using Snowflake for data warehousing and data lake capabilities, ensuring high performance and scalability across the organization.

  • Technology Innovation: Incorporate modern technologies such as Python, JavaScript, Node.js, Angular, and React for building scalable, responsive, and dynamic front-end applications.

  • Automation and DevOps: Implement DevOps practices, automation pipelines, and CI/CD processes using modern tools and frameworks to streamline development, testing, and deployment processes.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with business, technology, and operational stakeholders to understand key challenges and develop solutions that enhance innovation and efficiency.

  • Innovation and Modernization: Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends in healthcare and life sciences, recommending their application to meet evolving business needs.

  • Governance and Compliance: Ensure solutions adhere to industry regulations (such as HIPAA, FDA, GDPR) and internal governance policies related to data privacy, security, and compliance.

  • Mentorship and Guidance: Mentor and guide engineering and technical teams to foster growth and improve overall technical competency.

  • Vendor and Partner Collaboration: Work with external vendors and partners to evaluate third-party solutions and ensure seamless integration into the existing technology stack.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.

  • Experience: 10+ years of experience in solution architecture, with a focus on modernization, digital transformation, and enterprise-level architecture in life sciences, healthcare, or a related field.

  • Modernization Expertise: Proven experience leading large-scale modernization efforts, such as cloud migrations, legacy system transformation, or data platform revamps, with a focus on technologies like Snowflake, Python, Kubernetes, Angular, and React.

  • Cloud Platforms: Expertise in cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) and cloud-native architectures, including serverless, microservices, and containerization (Kubernetes, Docker).

  • Front-End Technologies: Deep experience with modern front-end frameworks such as Angular and React to support the design and implementation of dynamic user interfaces.

  • Technical Depth: Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks, APIs, data integration, security standards, and modern software development practices (Python, Node.js, Angular, React, DevOps, CI/CD).

  • Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of life sciences or healthcare industry trends, regulatory requirements (HIPAA, FDA), and technology use cases specific to the sector.

  • Data Platforms: Experience with modern data platforms, particularly Snowflake, and a strong understanding of data architecture, data warehousing, and analytics.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Leadership: Experience mentoring teams, managing cross-functional projects, and working in a collaborative environment with multiple stakeholders.

Pay Range:$155k-$210k (The range does not include benefits, and if applicable, bonus, commission, or equity)

Benefits: All job offers will be based on a candidate's skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data. Regular, full-time or part-time employees working 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(K), ESPP, Paid time off (PTO) or Flexible time off (FTO), and Company bonus where applicable.
