Position Summary |
Applications are invited for the position of Associate or early Full Professor of Sociology. We are seeking candidates with research and teaching interests in population health and quantitative/survey methods. Candidates should exhibit a record of strong and innovative research, federal funding, and excellence in teaching. |
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements |
Ph.D. in Sociology or related field. We are seeking candidates with research and teaching interests in population health and quantitative/survey methods. Candidates should exhibit a record of strong and innovative research, federal funding, and excellence in teaching. |
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience |
We prefer candidates whose work includes attention to the social determinants of health and health disparities with expertise in the social-biological linkages in health and aging processes in the United States. We also prefer candidates with experience in multidisciplinary research, the use and/or collection of large population-based survey data, and interest in the design and data collection of the National Longitudinal Study of Adolescent to Adult Health. |
