Position Summary
Applications are invited for the position of Associate or early Full Professor of Sociology. We are seeking candidates with research and teaching interests in population health and quantitative/survey methods. Candidates should exhibit a record of strong and innovative research, federal funding, and excellence in teaching.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Ph.D. in Sociology or related field. We are seeking candidates with research and teaching interests in population health and quantitative/survey methods. Candidates should exhibit a record of strong and innovative research, federal funding, and excellence in teaching.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
We prefer candidates whose work includes attention to the social determinants of health and health disparities with expertise in the social-biological linkages in health and aging processes in the United States. We also prefer candidates with experience in multidisciplinary research, the use and/or collection of large population-based survey data, and interest in the design and data collection of the National Longitudinal Study of Adolescent to Adult Health.
