Position Summary
The University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, Department of Psychiatry invites applications for a full-time, fixed-term clinical instructor. The successful candidate will join a team of clinicians who are providing mental health support within the Taking Care of Our Own Program. This division of the program will serve to support the mental health needs and well-being services for UNC medical students, attending the UNC School of Medicine. The physical location of the position will be in Chapel Hill, NC, with the majority of services currently delivered via telehealth modalities.

The primary clinical responsibility will include providing and assisting in the provision of treatment, recovery and support services (individual and possibly group at times), as well as for systematic monitoring of service delivery and timely adjustment of the treatment plan to meet changing client needs.

Areas of specific clinical interests for growth in the department include providers with experiences in marriage and family counseling, trauma therapies, as well as grief counseling.

Additionally, providing psychoeducational services to the medical student population to promote mental health and over all well-being would be a responsibility of this role.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
* Applicant must hold a Master's degree in Social Work or related degree
* Strong therapy skills with multiple modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy as well as trauma informed care
* Ability to work well in a multidisciplinary environment and with a multidisciplinary team
* Interest in working with health care providers
* Interest in working with well-being initiatives
* North Carolina Licensed at time of hire
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Ideally candidates will have a minimum of five years of clinical practice.
