Position Summary
The Lakshmanane Lab at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill seeks a creative, energetic, and motivated postdoctoral fellow to investigate the binding and functional properties of antibodies developed after viral infection and vaccination. We utilize structural biology, heterologous protein expression, biochemical and biophysical techniques, immunoassays, and clinical samples. The research position offers an excellent opportunity to work in an interdisciplinary area to gain experience in basic and translational research using state-of-the-art approaches in molecular biology, flow cytometry, biochemistry, protein design, expression and purification, and imaging. Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Ph.D. and/or M.D. with in biological sciences and/or related field of study.
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Experience in biochemistry, cell culture, structural biology, flow cytometry, immunoassays, molecular biology, or imaging
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Expertise in biophysical techniques or flow cytometry methods is highly preferred. The candidate should have strong communication and organizational skills, be self-motivated, think critically, and work independently
