About the Role

Impact you will make

The Senior Scrum Master will lead delivery teams using an Agile/Scrum methodology to produce healthcare products to customers, internal and external. The Senior Scrum Master will utilize communication, interpersonal, technical, and organization skills to remove obstacles, enhance collaboration, and ensure teams deliver results. Heavy emphasis is on technical understanding of the healthcare domain, software development technologies, best practices, and working with virtual geographically distributed teams.

What you will do



  • Champion cultural education in Agile philosophy and Scrum execution
  • Facilitate and organize daily stand-up meetings, iteration sizing and planning, retrospectives, and demonstrations
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Engineers, and Technical Owners to plan releases and ensure backlog maintenance
  • Track scrum team velocity and plans accordingly
  • Ensure the delivery teams are practicing scrum methodology and software engineering best practices
  • Identify and remove any impediments or obstacles that prevents the delivery team from attaining iteration goals
  • Report schedule progress, team status, and issues to senior management
  • Mentor and educate scrum team and stakeholders in the practical benefits of agile/scrum processes
  • Cultivate a team that recognizes the value of agile development and use that recognition to improve
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, creativity, and innovation
  • Aid delivery team with determining suitable commitments for user stories, defects, and tasking
  • Coordinate and schedule the execution of deliverables across multiple teams
  • Protect time allocated to scrum team to explore innovative solutions to business and technical problems
  • Prioritize technical debt
  • Champion continuous improvements in processes and development techniques applied by the delivery team and the entire development organization by collaborating with other Scrum Masters, Scrum of Scrum, and management staff to influence



What you will bring



  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
  • 6+ years with software development experience as a lead developer, technical lead, or manager/Scrum Master
  • 4+ years of project management experience with proven history of delivering software projects
  • 2+ years of Scrum Master experience or Agile methodologies
  • 2+ years of experience managing dependencies and project integration in a cross-functional, matrix environment
  • Scrum Master Certification
  • Practical experience functioning as or acting as a Scrum of Scrums
  • Detailed understanding of software development lifecycle and agile software development methodologies
  • Skilled leading and working with geographically distributed, offshore teams, and external development partners
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Advanced problem analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to adapt and be flexible in a dynamic environment
  • Candidate must be self-motivated and work independently with limited supervision
  • Strong organization, and time management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment that requires quick turnaround and quality output
  • Solid knowledge of all MS Office Product
