Entry Level Interior Trim Engineer

Hyundai America Technical Center, Inc (HATCI) is looking for an Entry Level Interior Trim Engineer for our Superior Township, MI facility who will:

• Design and develop Interior Trim parts, and perform releasing duties for North American-based vehicle projects
• Develop innovative solutions to improve from a cost/mass, performance, and quality perspective
• Develop Engineering Concepts and see parts through to Mass Production
• Create and present technical reports to communicate project status and results
• Recommend engineering improvements through assessing current designs and competitor benchmarking
• Be responsible for generating and completing Advanced Development projects related to part- or system-level improvements for future vehicles

Engineers should be able to demonstrate:

• 1+ years of working knowledge of Interior Trim Components: Pillar Trim, Carpet, Door Trim, Headliners, etc.
• Experience in cradle to grave product development best practices & processes
• Knowledge of US regulations
• Knowledge of design, manufacturing, and assembly of Interior Trim components
• Experience utilizing Computer-Aided Design tools (capability in CATIA V5 ideal, but not required)
• Travel up to 15% of the time domestically and internationally

Required Experience & Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
• 1+ years of experience required
• Valid Driver's License & satisfactory driving record
