Position Description

The Senior Contract Administrator is responsible for managing contracts and is a key contributor to managing risk at The Clearing. The ideal candidate for this role has a solid understanding of Federal Government contracting requirements, superb attention to detail, and a positive, proactive, and solutions-driven work ethic, and is willing to think "outside the box" in a fast-paced environment while maintaining compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. This position reports to the Director of Contracts.

Requirements

What You'll Do
  • Administer and negotiate various types of Non-Disclosure Agreements, Teaming Agreements, contracts, and subcontracts from solicitation to closeout, including the management of contract modifications, routine tracking and correspondence under the FAR and other government statutes.
  • Negotiate contract terms and conditions, and company policies and procedures
  • Support the management of government-wide vehicles and supply schedules at the federal, state, and local levels
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders for effective administration of all phases of the contract lifecycle, from bid and negotiation to project kickoff, execution, and closeout
  • Parse contract data required for project setup into appropriate templates to enable quick and accurate launch of new contracts through The Clearing's CostPoint and Unanet systems
  • Lead contract kick-off and closeout processes
  • Support Organizational Conflict of Interest identification and mitigation process
  • Act as a key collaborator with Proposal Coordinators in the preparation and management of the proposal process
  • Maintain contract management systems with pertinent details from contract files
  • Identify potential contractual issues, assess alternate courses of corrective action, and recommend solutions
  • Communicate with applicable client POCs and Company staff in service of effective contract execution
  • Collaborate closely with project leaders, consulting staff, and key members of company leadership
  • Provide business-focused objective advice based on requisite knowledge, expertise, and specialist skills to create value and improve business strategy, internal processes, and program performance
What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 7+ years of Federal government contracting administration experience required
  • Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, presentation creation tools, internet research tools, and Google Suite
  • Familiarity with SAM.gov, GSA Professional Services Schedules, GovWin
  • Experience with Deltek Costpoint is highly desired
  • Small business experience preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to easily communicate ideas and findings.
  • Ability to collaborate well with a team and work independently with minimal guidance
  • Critical thinking/problem-solving skills, attention to detail, organizational and time-management skills
  • Flexible and adaptable mindset to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness and ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance and/or a positive
    suitability determination by completing necessary background check investigations to perform client work
  • Must be legally eligible to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future
Compensation

The projected salary range for this position is between $80,000.00 and $120,000.00 annually. Actual compensation and starting salaries are determined based on various factors, including the education, experience, knowledge, skills, certifications, and clearance level of the candidate and internal equity. Once at The Clearing, movement through pay bands is based on performance. Base-annual salary is just one component of The Clearing's total compensation philosophy and approach. Physical and Mental Requirements

While performing duties of this job, an employee may be required to perform any, or all of the following: Attend meetings in and out of the office, travel (sometimes extensively); occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand; communicate effectively (both orally and in writing); ability to effectively use computers and other electronic and standard office equipment; occasionally exerting up to 10 pounds to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Work is primarily sedentary and involves sitting for several hours at a time. Occasionally walking, climbing stairs, and standing occur in this role. Additionally, this job requires certain mental demands, including the ability to use judgment, withstand moderate amounts of stress, and maintain attention to detail.
