Potato Utility - Weekend Day

Utz Quality Foods is seeking a Weekend Day Potato Utility V to join our team of manufacturing professionals at the 900 High Street facility located in Hanover, PA. This is a full-time non exempt position reporting directly to the Utility Supervisor. Standard hours of work will be Friday-Sunday 5:00AM to 5:00PM, with occasional need to be flexible based on production.

Responsibilities:

• Gathers Potato Waste from plants and transports to a local farm.
• Completes CDL required tasks assigned by supervisor.
• Various load shuttling to plants as necessary.
• Helps with potato unloading when needed.
• Maintains and operates a forklift.
• Participates in required cleaning.
• Must be able to lift at least 85-lbs. head high on occasion.
• Class B CDL would be acceptable.
• Work in accordance with all CDL, DOT, HOS and Safety requirements.
• Report all unsafe equipment and practices to supervisor immediately.
• Adhere to all Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Requires working proactively in a cross-functional team with diverse groups of people.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements.

• Moderate lifting, up to 85 lbs head high.
• Able to bend, stoop, squat, pivot, and stand for long periods of time.
• Able to work in a basement environment with fluctuating temperatures, depending on the season.
• Knowledge of oil and potato handling is helpful but not required.
• Able to obtain Forklift Certification on day 1.
• Knowledge of processing operations is preferred but not required.
• Requires at least Class B Drivers License.
