Youth Care Worker

The Youth Care Worker is responsible for providing care, guidance, and support to youth in a residential or community-based setting. They assist in promoting a safe and nurturing environment for the youth and work closely with other staff members to implement programming and interventions that meet their physical, emotional, and social needs.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Estimated Starting Salary Range for Youth Care Worker:
• Pay commensurate with experience.
• Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.

Youth Care Worker Responsibilities Include:

• Providing direct care and supervision to youth, ensuring their safety and well-being.
• Implementing and facilitating structured activities and programs that promote positive youth development.
• Building and maintaining rapport with youth, providing guidance, support, and mentorship.
• Assisting in crisis intervention and de-escalation as necessary.
• Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to youth progress and incidents.
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized service plans for youth.
• Providing transportation for youth to appointments, activities, and outings.
• Adhering to all applicable policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Youth Care Worker Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:

• High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
• Experience working with youth in a residential or community-based setting.
• Knowledge of child and adolescent development.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with others.
• Ability to handle crisis situations and maintain composure under pressure.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
