We are looking for a Regional Auditing Manager in USA. Your mission will be to:
Purpose: The primary responsibilities of this position are to
promote the standardization and consistency of the auditors performing
certification and non certification audits within North America through
monitoring, training and coaching of
auditors. This position will be
responsible for managing auditors to control costs for profits, completing
technical audit report reviews, completing audit days per month for margin
growth, and development of auditor training materials and customer relations.
Main activities:
*Maintain auditing skills by conducting accredited certified and non certified audits and through the completion of technical file reviews.
*Assist with the management of key accounts and audit programs utilizing technical industry expertise. Provide leadership to auditors through training, coaching, and mentorship.
*Administer corporate human resource programs as related to assigned Auditors, focusing on auditor retention, compensation, training, calibration and development, equal employment opportunity, performance management, and employment record documentation.
*Communicate through individual and group calls or through one on one meetings with auditors to ensure performance management, calibration of priorities as well as financial goals frequently each month. Provide documentation of these communications to ensure accountability due to remote direct reports.
*Accountable for providing initial orientation and training for assigned auditing personnel that ensures a full understanding of and application of consistent processes. Assist auditors in their daily tasks, along with linking Auditors to others that can assist them in their position.
*Work directly with the Auditing team or clients of Auditing to manage the audit appeals process and any client issues that may arise and reach resolution within the targeted timelines.
*Manage compliance of direct reports to auditing administrative procedures and ensure compliance to those administrative procedures that involve other areas within the auditing division; such as, schedulers, report reviewers, expense reports, invoicing, etc.
*As part of the auditing management team, ensure audit criteria and audit forms are current, technically robust, and meet current and change customer and regulatory requirements. Provide technical expertise as applicable and complete technical report reviews on a routine basis to drive consistency and improvement.
*Take initiative and be accountable for maintaining their own expertise in food science and related technologies through available scientific literature.
*Support corporate quality and continuous improvement process.
*Perform other related duties as needed.
YOUR PROFILE
Profile: This individual
has a Bachelor of Science degree in food safety related field and has at least
10 years of experience in a food safety/quality assurance related role in the
food manufacturing industry.
Required Skills: The incumbent must have a general knowledge of
food science, quality assurance, and auditing principles and practices to
accurately perform auditing procedures. Individuals must have extensive
experience with multiple types of food processing operations to be able to adequately carry out this
job. This position requires a broad
knowledge of GMP's, food safety principles, HACCP and other government
regulations. Auditing experience in a food plant setting is necessary to
fulfill auditing business and manage direct reports. Certification as a
Certified Quality Auditor(ASQ), Certified HACCP Auditor or other required
professional certifications is needed to support the department in the Auditing
function. This position requires self-discipline and organizational skills to
ensure that schedule is maintained and audits are performed correctly. Strong interpersonal skills are necessary to
manage auditors and communicate directly with customers. Strong computer skills are needed to produce
analysis of auditor performance data. This position requires self discipline,
responsive communication, works autonomously and must deal with situations in a
diplomatic and professional manner.
This position
receives general direction from the Director of Auditing Operations. This
position ensures the performance level of the auditor's reporting to it and
accuracy of the final written audit reports. This position works independently and is left with discretion for
maintaining his/her schedule. and ensuring those of the direct reports. This position is held accountable for
maintaining efficient completion of the audits within specified format and managing auditors to control costs for
profits and completing audit days per month for margin growth and development
of auditing materials and customer relations.
This position
requires the individual to make decisions about the performance level of
auditors reporting to it, which requires this individual to conduct frequent
evaluations of auditor report performance for quality and accuracy to determine
training and coaching needs. This individual determines the optimal course of
corrective and preventive actions for issues that the auditors experience. Decisions made by this position may impact
their direct reports schedules or potential revenue generated by the department
as a whole.
Management: This individual will be responsible for managing
a remote team of auditors who may be located in different time zones and
regions. The auditors include a
combination of employee and contracted auditors with different levels of
auditing skills and qualifications.
Work Environment: The person works out of
their home with frequent visits to various manufacturing settings with proper
lighting and temperature control. Occasional exposure to fumes, chemicals, and
materials will occur when in the facility. This individual must be able to
climb stairs, walk the entire length of the manufacturing facility and execute
visits in restricted zones. This
position requires some use of computers to complete daily tasks and requires
physical dexterity to effectively manipulate a keyboard. Greater than ten nights a month overnight
travel is necessary to audit, witness an auditor, visit a customer or attend
meetings and professional seminars.
