BIA Program Manager

As required by our governmental client, this position requires being a US Citizen, lawful resident alien, citizen of American Samoa or other territory owning permanent allegiance to the United States.

The Program Manager at Cherokee Nation Integrated Health (CNIH) is responsible for overseeing and managing complex IT projects and programs from inception to completion. This role requires a combination of strong leadership, technical expertise, and project management skills to ensure successful delivery within scope, schedule, and budget constraints. The Program Manager will collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and vendors to define project requirements, plan project lifecycle deployments, and implement effective risk mitigation strategies. Additionally, this position involves managing conflicts, conducting team assessments, and providing leadership to ensure project success.

Compensation & Benefits:



  • Estimated Starting Salary Range for BIA Program Manager:
  • Pay commensurate with experience.
  • Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K and other possible benefits as provided.

BIA Program Manager Responsibilities Include:



  • Define project requirements and plan project lifecycle deployment.
  • Coordinate and support IT business processes.
  • Manage complex projects/programs from design and development to production.
  • Implement risk mitigation and contingency planning strategies.
  • Direct and oversee project engineering teams, managing conflicts within the group.
  • Perform team assessments and evaluations.
  • Identify and solve project issues efficiently and effectively.
  • Provide leadership in defining requirements for project risk.
  • Design and maintain technical and project documentation.
  • Manage scheduling and budgeting to effectively and efficiently manage a large workforce.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.



BIA Program Manager Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:



  • Bachelor's degree related to Information Technology field of study; or
  • 8 years of IT program management experience may substitute for the degree requirement.
  • Minimum of 5 years of project management or IT management experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience coordinating and supporting IT business processes.
  • Experience managing complex projects/programs from design and development to production.
  • Ability to define requirements and plan project lifecycle deployment.
  • Demonstrated experience in risk mitigation and contingency planning.
  • Extensive experience in directing and overseeing project engineering teams and managing conflicts within a group.
  • Ability to perform team assessments and evaluations.
  • Ability to identify and solve project issues efficiently and effectively.
  • Demonstrated leadership in defining requirements for project risk.
  • Ability to design and maintain technical and project documentation.
  • Excellent organizational, presentation, and customer service skills.
  • Scheduling and budgeting experience to manage a large workforce effectively and efficiently.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Customer service orientation.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
