What your job will be like: The incumbent will serve as System Administrator for thePrometheus Electronic Permit Administration System (ePAS)application and oversee the ePAS application and maintenance of Jefferson Lab-specific data sets required for continuous functionality. These include data sets for hazards and controls, roles and responsibilities, plant items and isolation points, and the information related to staff qualifications and to lab organization. Interface with other System Administrators, SMEs, DSOs, and others who provide data for ePAS and ensure data integrity and overall ePAS configuration control.
.In this role you will:
- Serve as the main contact for ePAS at Jefferson Lab andthe technical point of contact with Prometheus Group support staff to develop new system configurations and troubleshooting.
- Maintain the ePAS webpage including an on-going list of FAQs, develop timely content, provide notifications, and updated support documents.
- Maintain specialty LockOut/TagOut Zebra Label makers and order/refill supply equipment.
- Maintain and update the ePAS System functionality as global system administrator and assist with troubleshooting ePAS application problems.
- Consult with SMEs to ensure that HIRA remains current and reflects ES&H manual requirements.
- Consult with Division Safety Officers and ensure that system roles and responsibilities are properly reflected in ePAS.
- Work with the laboratory lessons learned coordinator to ensure that lessons learned external lessons learned information is incorporated into ePAS and lessons learned information developed in ePAS is available to the coordinator.
- Maintain the ePAS Plant Item Tool dataset used for routine plant item integration with ePAS.
- Review the ePAS temporary plant item entries and coordinate with ePAS user and DSOs to update Plant Item Tool (and associated isolation point references) in a timely manner.
- Coordinate with Accelerator Division IT resources to ensure that the ePAS Plant Item Tool is current with respect to Hot Check Out data resources.
- Coordinate with FM&L IT resources to ensure that the ePAS Plant Item Tool is current with respect to MAXIMO data resources.
- Assist Performance Assurance Office with availability and access to audit features of ePAS.
- Evaluate feedback and information from ePAS FAQs and "helpline" questions to determine specific ePAS training needs.
- Maintain current training program and user manual for ePAS and make sure information remains relevant/up to date.Deliver focused training to Jefferson Lab ePAS users.
- Liaise with other laboratories regarding the Jefferson Lab use of ePAS for work planning and control.
- Provide requested updates at the DOE sponsored Accelerator Safety Workshop and/or the EFCOG Working Group on Work Planning and Control.
Qualification We Require: Education:
- Bachelors Degree in Safety / Engineering(mechanical, structural, chemical, or closely related field).
Experience:
- 4 years in Industrial Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or equivalent required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Able to communicate clearly in writing and speaking (including proposals and/or reports with sufficient reference information to stand alone) and explain work to his/her supervisor and others in the group.,
- Can work effectively with peers and can form and train members of a task group for effective management of high-hazard work.
Qualifications We Desire:
- Masters Degree in Safety/Engineering.
- Able to communicate clearly in writing and speaking (including proposals and/or reports with sufficient reference information to stand alone) and explain work to supervisor and others in the group.
- Can work effectively with peers and can form and train members of a task group for effective management of high-hazard work.
- Strong computer-based skills, including Microsoft Office, and must be self-sufficient in data analysis.
