Project Manager

***This position requires an active Secret clearance or the ability to obtain a Secret clearance within 120 days after contract award. ***

As required by our governmental client, this position requires being a US Citizen.

As the project manager for specified contracted effort, ensure project procedures and controls are followed, manage manning and staffing project efforts, and lead problem resolution efforts. Interfaces with system or program contractors, vendors, and Government representatives regarding the technical aspects of the programs/projects. Must have experience supporting senior Navy and DoD leadership liaison operations, providing facilities management while managing all activities related to an organization remote from NAVAIR HQ, but as a tenant to another Command. Analyze and coordinate the schedule, timeline, procurement, staffing, and budget of a product or service on a per project basis. Lead and guide the work of technical staff. May serve as a point of contact for the client or customer.

Compensation & Benefits:



  • Estimated Starting Salary Range for Project Manager: $95,000 - $125,000
  • Pay commensurate with experience.
  • Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.


Project Manager Responsibilities Include:



  • Acts as the overall lead, manager, and administrator for the activities of various departments concerned with the administrative operations, facility and access management, professional training, and transportation for flag-level officers and senior civil servant executives.
  • Lead and guide the work of technical staff. Oversees CNAS personnel program/project operations.
  • Manages project coordinators, managers, and other associated personnel in the project management office.
  • Develops scalable, holistic resource forecasting and planning across projects and programs.
  • Provides visibility to leadership on status of program/project(s) including progress, productivity, costs, risks, and quality metrics.
  • Serves as an escalation point for all project-related resource conflicts, risks, and issues.
  • Provides consistent governance for processes, tools and guidelines; ensures adherence to governance.
  • Drives innovative processes to keep pace with technology landscape.
  • Ensures program/project(s) are being executed in accordance with established business objectives and roadmaps; adheres to timelines and budget.
  • Builds Agile capabilities within the department to ensure consistent delivery methods.
  • Leads continuous process improvement and process optimization.
  • Reviews and provides guidance and support on program/project financial performance.
  • Prioritizes initiatives and ensures consistency with strategies; analyzes portfolio.
  • Assures proactive risk mitigation measures are employed.
  • Review financial statements, sales or activity reports, or other performance data to measure productivity or goal achievement or to identify areas needing cost reduction or program improvement.
  • Delivers status presentations to customers and leaders as needed, keeping them informed of delivery and/or production schedules.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.


Project Manager Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:



  • BS or BA degree in Business Management. ALLOWABLE SUBSTITUTION: an AS or AA degree in Business or Project Management and eight (8) years of experience in business administration.
  • At least 6 years' of professional experience in office operation/management support. A minimum of 5 years of supervisory/lead experience required.
  • Experience supporting a Chief of Staff for a major Legislative or Department of Defense (DoD) Echelon Command / Secretariat; experience supporting a Navy or Marine Corps Command Element preferred.
  • Experience in performing financial and administrative requirements, to include: project controls, strategic management procedures and senior level communication is also required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of SECNAV, OPNAV and OSD policy and documentation related to management, operations, and life-cycle management of military acquisition programs.
  • Must have strong interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, organizational and time management skill with strong attention to detail.
  • Must have the ability to work with cross-functional groups, coordinated work activities at all levels, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build internal/external relationships.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office software and web-based applications such as those used in manufacturing operations.
  • Valid U.S. Driver's License.
  • Must possess a SECRET clearance or be able to obtain a SECRET Clearance.
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
