Security Operations Center Manager

As required by our governmental client, this position requires being a US Citizen, a lawful resident alien, or a citizen of American Samoa or another territory owing permanent allegiance to the United States.

We are seeking a qualified Security Operations Manager (SOC) to oversee the Security Operations Command Center. This position provides a lead supportive role in controlling, coordinating, and executing security operations within a central communications hub of our Emergency Intake Site (EIS). This position will have a working knowledge of Lenel integrated access control, Milestone video management software (VMS), and incident management data entry software. Candidates must be well-rounded and effective leaders with verbal and written skills and professional communication ability with department peers and subordinates. Candidate to be able to adapt to operational needs rapidly and meet aggressive deadlines as needed.

  • Pay commensurate with experience.

Security Operations Center Manager Responsibilities Include:



  • Responsible for leading a team of personnel in a SOC environment.
  • Monitor all security operations throughout the facility.
  • Be able to prioritize and direct workflow.
  • Addressing technical and non-technical escalations.
  • Review, develop, and implement SOC standard operating procedures as needed.
  • Coordinate and schedule shift coverage and assign resources for special projects.
  • Meet service-level agreements.
  • Enforce company policies and procedures.
  • Respond to all security incidents and coordinate responses with all relevant agencies.
  • Ability to retrieve and extract access reports, video surveillance, and incident management logs.
  • Facilitate all security-related incidents to the program management team and other stakeholders.
  • Perform and/or assist with internal investigations and reports.
  • Perform quality control and assurance for all security incidents and generate After Action Review (AAR) to mitigate future incidents.
  • Collaborate with other project departments to ensure the execution of security's best practices.
  • Maintain and record all security incident documents.
  • Perform additional operational duties as needed.



Security Operations Center Manager Experience, Education, Skills, and Abilities requested:



  • 5-10 years of military and/or Law enforcement or equivalent private-sector security experience.
  • Tactical & operational experience within your past work experience.
  • IT security experience is a plus.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining relationships with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies.
  • Ability to multi-task and support numerous security operations simultaneously.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with MS Projects and knowledge and use of Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to successfully pass a drug screen and background check.
  • Ability to obtain and hold a Public Trust Background Investigation.
  • Knowledge and use of WebEOC, Milestone, Lenel, and incident management systems.
  • A prior history of leading a SOC is highly desired.
  • Bi-lingual English-Spanish preferred.
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
