ABOUT THE JOB

Responsible for designing, programming, maintaining and automating the organization's human resources data resources, specific to healthcare. Develop, implement and monitor multiple databases, both housed internally and externally, to ensure efficient processing, up-to-date tools, and improved efficiencies. Serves as the data custodian in support of Human Resource activities and processes. Responsible for researching HR IT needs for related development of automated systems, enterprise software applications, enhancements, and report generation. Responsible for weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual and ad-hoc report design and distribution.

SALARY RANGE $68,266 - $111,426

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS



  • Design, implement, and maintain databases, reports and scripts used to manage the enterprise HR systems.
  • Identify needs, design, implement and disseminate data and reports as necessary to support the organization's goals.
  • Responsible for the collection, analysis and reporting of data from multiple data sources to create actionable reports and knowledge for peers and leadership.
  • Manage and design reports and benchmarking results in a clear and concise manner, as well as aggregating, processing and interpreting report data for decision making in an effective and efficient manner.
  • Independently perform programming and analysis work to automate/improve user determined data analyses and reports. Perform work assignments while staying within the capacity and limitations of the equipment, operating time and form of desired results. Work closely with operating/production staff in establishing report generation schedules and required job setup procedures.
  • Monitor and administer the regulatory and statutory requirements for MU Health Care ensuring all requirements are met, new standards monitored and implemented, and serve on regulatory committees to ensure all HR documentation, records, and processes meet all above requirements.
  • Design, implement, and maintain dashboards (including, but not limited to turnover, vacancy, average time to fill, cost per FTE, etc.).
  • Identify, extract, and analyze HR trends and patterns to improve operational efficiencies in HR as well as the organization.
  • Work with SharePoint and SharePoint Designer to provide data to customers via lists, document libraries, key performance indicators, etc. Use SharePoint Designer to create data views that aggregate data from various data sources into usable data presentations for the command.
  • Evaluate existing human resources processes and procedures against healthcare industry benchmarks to identify "best in class" methods.
  • Identify and recommend new processes/procedures to improve human resource service levels at MUHC. Once recommendations are approved, implements changes.
  • Utilize Human Resources databases and other reporting tools for both ongoing and ad-hoc reports for management and Human Resources staff.
  • May complete unit/department specific duties and expectations as outlined in department documents.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in information technology, informatics or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities can be acquired.

Five (5) years of experience working in a data enterprise environment including designing, building, and managing multiple Databases, transformation of data, customer reporting and creation of dashboards and online reporting.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Desired knowledge and skill sets include:

* Advanced MS Access SQL/Query development Visual Basic for Applications

* Microsoft SQL and/or Oracle SQL development

* JavaScript, CSS, JQuery

* PeopleSoft and general knowledge of PeopleSoft table structure

* Microsoft PowerBI * Microsoft Power Platfrom (Apps, Teams, Automate)

* Automation and batch control tools * Knowledge of Service Management tools
