Location: Jefferson City, Missouri MU Health Care is looking for a dynamic and skilled Certified Hand Therapist to join our team. As a vital member of our Rehabilitation Services, the ideal candidate will possess a passion for restoring function, improving dexterity, and enhancing the lives of patients with upper extremity impairments. We seek an individual who actively engages in continuous learning, participating in training and educational activities, and supervising occupational therapy students to stay at the forefront of their field. In this role, you'll showcase your advanced skills in hand therapy, administering treatments, designing custom splints, and utilizing modalities like heat/cold, ultrasound, and manual therapy. Your commitment to ethical practices, as outlined by APTA or AOTA, is paramount, ensuring the highest standards of care. With a focus on individualized patient care, you'll conduct comprehensive evaluations and develop occupational therapy plans aligned with developmental milestones. Occupational Therapist licensure by the Missouri Board of Occupational Therapy, or Physical Therapist licensure by the Missouri Board of Registration for the Healing Arts or PT Compact multi-state privilege. When primary state of residency changes, compact state PTs must apply under new state of residency within thirty (30) days. Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) certification by the Hand Therapy Certification Commission. Five (5) years of clinical experience, including 4,000 hours in the direct practice of hand therapy.
