Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Senior Payroll Systems Analyst (PeopleSoft).

In this role, the successful candidate as the Senior Payroll Systems Analyst is responsible for advanced PeopleSoft HCM
payroll related setup. This includes all areas of the Foundation and Product Related tables as well asknowledge of tables related to the running of payroll. He/She is responsible for the creation of advance
queries and reports to assist the department and areas outside of Payroll as needed. This position is thelead for functional PeopleSoft HCM setup, updates, and testing. In addition, a strong knowledge of
Kronos tables and configuration is required. Analytical analysis of current procedures to enhanceproductivity is expected as well as suggestions for system enhancements. This position works closely
with IT to develop enhancements from inception, through testing, and into production.

Job Responsibilities:

    • Controls and updates PeopleSoft table configuration for Foundation and Product Related tables.Identify proper include/exclude tables for benefits and taxes. Works with team members to ensure proper testing and documentation of updates. Communicate changes to appropriate individuals.
    • Identifies processing, procedural, and/or system problem areas; implement resolution and/or resolve issue with involved staff. Work with the team to identify ongoing issues and implement corrective action. Create change control requests to drive changes and enhancements. Attend change control meetings to keep abreast of ongoing interdepartmental issues. Meet with other departments as necessary to resolve issues.
    • Develops and maintains accurate, appropriate payroll system procedure documentation. Identify areas where procedure documentation is needed and take corrective action-
    • Direct liaison with the IT team to implement updates to PeopleSoft, control testing and document changes. Work with IT to review PeopleSoft updates and the impact on the payrollprocess. Establish test scenarios and criteria to ensure successful updates and validate the integrity of the system. Review test results of all parties to ensure accuracy. Document changesmade as a result of the updates. Communicate changes to the team by updating or creating departmental policies and procedures.
    • Assists the department by creating advanced queries, which enhance processes and improves efficiencies. Identify needs of the department by meeting with team members to understand what queries would enhance their ability to perform their jobs. Create ad hoc or canned queries for ongoing reporting. Schedule periodic queries as requested for consistent reporting for both inter and intra departmental needs.-

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Bachelors Degree and minimum of three years progressively responsible experience in payroll in payroll systems or equivalent combination of education
and experience. Proficient in the use of a personal computer including Microsoft Office, Word and Excel. Effective oral, written, communication and customer service skills.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $81,325.15 - $120,000 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
