Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Electrophysiology Tech, Per Diem / Electrophysiology.
In this role, the successful candidate is responsible for safe, effective imaging during electrophysiology procedures. Minimize radiation exposure for both patient and staff. Works collaboratively with a multidisciplinary Health team to promote good patient outcomes during electrophysiology testing/treatment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Preps EP rooms and patient for procedures. Performs fluoroscopy and circulates in room during procedures. Ensures clear imaging and proper radiation safety of patient/staff.
- Maintains and troubleshoots fluoroscopic equipment and electrophysiology diagnostic equipment.
- Participates in orientation of new employees as needed. Works to assure departmental compliance with approved budget. Responsible for maintaining inventory (orders, stock) of EP supplies.
- Properly addresses malfunctioning fluoroEP lab equipment. Participates in problem identification and problem solving in work environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify, you must be a Graduate of Radiologic Technology School. Current and valid NYS License in Diagnostic Radiography. American Registry of Radiologic Technologist Certification (ARRT). Basic Life Support Certification (BLS). Excellent communication (both oral and written), interpersonal, and organization skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
1 - 2 years Radiology experience.1 - 2 years experience in electrophysiology lab. Experience with Hemodynamic monitoring systems used in EP Labs.
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
