Additional Job Description: WVUHS Medical Group and the Department of Emergency Medicine seeks an Observation Medicine Physician to join our community emergency medicine practice at Thomas Memorial Hospital Observation Unit in South Charleston, West Virginia. This position is charged with the efficient and effective full-time practice of Observational Medicine services consistent with the established policies of West Virginia University of Medicine. Duties: The successful candidate will practice in the areas of Observation Medicine and/or Emergency Medicine. In addition to providing comprehensive Observation and/or Emergency clinical care to patients in an observation medicine/emergency medicine capacity and establish preventive health practices for patients. Qualifications: Candidate must have an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and be eligible for state medical license. Successful candidate must have completed an accredited emergency/internal/family medicine residency program. Successful candidates must be board certified / eligible via a recognized board within ABMS. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.
