Clinical Psychiatrist - Bellevue Inpatient Service (Clinical)

The Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Bellevue Hospital Center is seeking a board certified/board eligible child and adolescent psychiatrist to join our inpatient service. This is a full-time position, working collaboratively with the Unit Chief as a member of a multidisciplinary team that includes psychology, psychiatric nurse practitioners, social work, nursing, creative arts therapy, and trainees to provide patient care including:



  • Provision of primary psychiatric and medical care to all assigned patients on a 15-bed inpatient unit;
  • Participation in inter-disciplinary team in treatment planning and ensure appropriate clinical management of all issues regarding assigned patients;
  • Liaison work with patient families, other medical specialties and institutions, as pertains to assigned patients;
  • Adherence to all Federal, State, and City regulations;
  • Supervision of psychiatric nurse practitioners and/or residents and other clinical trainees providing patient care services;
  • Participation in periodic departmental attending call, usually two weeks per academic year.

All attending Psychiatrists in the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry service at Bellevue receive a faculty appointment in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at NYU Grossman School of Medicine with additional opportunities for teaching and other academic endeavors.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The annual salary range for this role is $240,000 to $250,000.

Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including faculty appointment, credentials, research history, specialty, and health system need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.

Minimum Qualifications



  • Board certified or eligible in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
  • New York State Medical license
