THE ROLE:

We are looking for a Sr. Design Verification Engineer to join our AI engine verification San Jose Team. In this role, you will be working on the cutting-edge AI Engine, the technology offering the world's most scalable solutions from intelligent sensor to edge compute, evolves with AI innovations in the industry.

You will be working with architects and designers to define the verification strategy for the design, develop and review test plans, execute the test plans using industry standard tools like System Verilog and UVM. You will contribute to the overall success of the product and business by ensuring high quality through detail-oriented industry standard verification leading to tape out.

THE PERSON:

Should be able to collaborate with a cross functional team, be a dynamic, quality-conscious, attention oriented individual with significant experience in successfully verifying and taping out complex designs with high quality.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Will be working as a member of a cross geographic pre-silicon verification team to verify a next generation AI engine.
  • Will be working with design, architecture team to verify micro-architecture and design across multiple platforms
  • Responsible for a comprehensive verification plan and drive the implementation of verification test cases from applications and other sources
  • Responsible for regression, verification infrastructure development
  • Mentoring junior engineers

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience in specifying and developing the verification infrastructure for verifying CPU/DSP/Vector-datapath designs
  • 8+ years of experience in the verification with experience of CPU/Video/DSP/vector processors, SIMD is a plus.
  • Strong foundation in SoC architecture and verification of multi-core processors including SIMD, Vector processors, floating point, etc. is a plus
  • Expertise in Verilog/System Verilog, C/C++/SystemC, UVM, Scripting languages like Perl/Python, etc.
  • Strong experience in HDL, verification, and general computational logic design/verification concepts
  • Strong analytical problem solving, and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, self-motivated

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • Requires BS or MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science or related equivalent
