NYU Langone Health's Ronald O. Perelman Department of Dermatology seeks to identify a full-time dermatologist for the position of Faculty Scholar in Health Policy and Equity. This innovative faculty position allows those interested in health policy, care equity, and the delivery of ambulatory care in complex urban systems to provide patient care, participate in research, and develop leadership skills in public health policy. The position also provides the opportunity to earn a Master's degree through the NYU Vilcek Institute of Graduate Biomedical Sciences.

The position will consist largely of outpatient clinical dermatology care through the supervision of residents, fellows, and students in the nation's first and one of its most renowned public hospitals, Bellevue Hospital Center, with appointment to the NYU Grossman School of Medicine with associated benefits. Bellevue Hospital, a flagship of the NYC Health and Hospitals Corporation, serves a very diverse patient population from across the NYC metropolitan area and around the world.There is also an opportunity to work in a Federal Qualified Health Center that supports underserved NYC communities. Protected time for education and scholarly work will be provided.

The Ronald O. Perelman Departmentof Dermatology at NYU Langone Health has upheld a tradition of leadership and excellence that spans the history of dermatology in the United States. Our education program provides dermatologic instruction for students of NYU School of Medicine, specialty training for residents and fellows at NYU Langone Medical Center, Bellevue Hospital Center, and the Department of Veterans Affairs New York Harbor Health System-Manhattan Campus; and advanced training for experienced physicians through NYU Department of Continuing Medical Education. The Department is also a center for collaborative research addressing significant problems involving the skin.

Candidates must beboard eligible or board certifiedin Dermatology and hold a New York State license at the time of proposed employment.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York Law on Salary Transparancy in Job Advertisements. Compensation and appointment level will be commensurate with experience and will range from $200K - $270K annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including faculty appointment, credentials, research history, specialty, and health system need. The salary range listed does not include bonuses/incentive, academic allowance, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits, or the cost of the Master's program which will be borne by the Department.
