Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Sr. Analyst, Enterprise Data Governance

The Enterprise Data Governance Specialist will be involved in all areas of Data Governance and Data Management. This position will report the Director for Data Governance and Data Management and will be responsible for managing organizational metadata for catalogs, lineage, quality and governance. They will be working with business users from across the organization to assist in these efforts and help to establish a Data Literacy program.

Job Responsibilities:

    • Prioritize areas for improvement and the application of governance.
    • Support the Director of Data Governance and Quality in preparing for their role leading the Data Governance Committee and other committees for managing governance organization-wide.
    • Set standards for key documentation (e.g., data inventory) produced by data management and data operations to ensure consistency.
    • Help maintain the document library for regulatory-required procedure documents.
    • Liaise with Technology and Business groups regarding governance and adherence to data policy/standard operating procedures/regulatory guidelines regarding data.
    • Prepare materials and be able to speak to the importance of the governance program in educating the NYU Langone Health organization regarding the use and dissemination of data.
    • Customize the development of data governance policies and procedures for guiding various data management processes, including data security and privacy, data quality control, and data dissemination activities.
    • Monitor policies to ensure alignment with the Governance framework of protecting sensitive data.
    • Develop support materials to determine data sharing strategy across the organization.
    • Create and maintain the Data Governance framework, process documentation, and data governance policies.
    • Support content domains in their efforts to create roadmaps toward the desired state of data governance maturity.
    • Identify and standardize the use and governance of information in support of the overall global business strategy.

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a At least 3 years of data governance, quality, or steward experience within healthcare industries.
Data technical skills are a significant plus (e.g., data querying, data analysis).
Proven track record of execution, particularly in content-related domains.
Strong communication and partnering skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
6 years working with data management and data governance
Experience with Collibra
Solid understanding of data structures and relational databases
Experience with reference data and using data for analytics

Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $81,325.15 - $135,541.73 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
