NYU Langone Health is seeking a dynamic, full time Chief for the Division of Trauma, Surgical Critical Care, and Emergency General Surgery to join the faculty at our NYU Langone Hospital - Brooklyn campus. This position will expand our Emergency General Surgery/Acute Care/Trauma division which currently handles 350 Level 1 activations/year, 1000 Level 2 activations/year, 1800 trauma consults and 600 operative cases/year.Clinical responsibilities will include trauma, emergency general surgery, and surgical critical care coverage. Candidate will join the division alongside seven other acute care surgeons. Reporting to the Chair of Surgery and Chief Medical Officer (CMO), the Division Chief will have the goal of advancing the field of Trauma, Critical Care and Acute Care Surgery through patient care, practice innovation, research, and education. Faculty members must be committed to delivering high-quality clinical care that is of value to the patients in our community. In addition, faculty members are expected to participate in collaborative hospital-wide committees. The selected candidate must be team-oriented and be able to interact well with colleagues inside and outside the division. The position will be physically located at NYULH Brooklyn, one of the four hospitals within, the NYULH system in the New York metropolitan area, an ACS verified, Level 1 Trauma Center in the Sunset Park neighborhood of Brooklyn.
