Physical Design Implementation & AI Methodology Engineer

THE ROLE:

As an AI/ML Methodology & Tools Design Engineer, you will work with experts in CAD and Methodology to accelerate the use of ML/AI solutions in the Physical Design (PD) flow. You will evaluate and deploy AI/ML EDA tools and features, develop internal predictive and generative AI solutions to improve productivity and design quality.

THE PERSON:

You have a passion for physical design implementation on cutting edge process technology. You have strong analytical, problem-solving, and data analysis skills and are willing to take on challenging problems and come up with novel solutions. You are a team player who has excellent communication skills.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Accelerate the use of Machine Learning/AI in Physical Design and CAD flow
  • Evaluate and deploy ML/AI EDA tools and features in the design flow
  • Develop internal ML/AI solutions to improve productivity and design quality
  • Support and collaborate with the design teams to enable AI/ML solutions

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience in PD implementation (Synthesis, Placement, CTS, Route) and tools
  • Experience and familiarity with ML/AI concepts and frameworks (Python, Pandas, scikit-learn, deep learning libraries), including developing and deploying ML applications
  • Experience and familiarity with generative AI and LLM libraries, prompting and knowledge retrieval (RAG), ReAct Agents
  • Experience with data analysis and visualization using Python
  • Strong programming and scripting skills with Python
  • Strong analytical skills and mathematical modeling

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Compute Engineering, or Computer Science
