THE ROLE:

AMD is seeking a skilled and motivated IC CAD engineer with expertise in physical verification and LEF generation. The role involves configuring vendor tools, ensuring tool precision, and providing support to users throughout the organization.

THE PERSON:

The ideal candidate will possess experience in physical verification and LEF generation, collaborate with cross-functional teams to configure the tool, develop scripts to enhance tool usability, and have the ability to troubleshoot issues and offer solutions.

KEY RESPONSIBLITIES:

• Develop Calibre rule decks
• Setup physical verification tool and flow
• Setup abstract and LEF generation flow
• Verify vendor tool accuracy
• Create user documentation and provide training
  
  

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• A strong understanding and practical experience in physical verification, including LVS, DRC, ERC, antenna checks, dummy fill, and PERC, utilizing Calibre is essential. Additionally, proficiency in ICV is advantageous.
• Solid understanding and practical experience with LEF format, as well as abstract and LEF generation tools and workflows.
• Experienced in scripting with Perl, Tcl, and Python.
• Having knowledge in transistor-level and gate-level StarRC extraction is advantageous.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

• BSEE or MSEE or equivalent and relevant work experience
