Description & Requirements
How you will contribute:
  • Thought Leadership: Represent the firm as a thought leader in the financial crime space. Participate in industry conferences, publish insights and white papers to identify significant emerging issues that impact our client base and demonstrate the full range of the firms' capabilities.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the global lead to align US initiatives with the overall global strategy. Contribute to the development of global best practices and service offerings.
  • Practice Development: Support the development of a high-performing consulting practice. Recruit, mentor, and develop a team of financial crime experts.
  • Sales & Delivery: Demonstrate a proven track record of sales and successful project delivery. Drive revenue growth through effective sales strategies and high-quality service delivery.
  • Business Development: Develop a robust book of business by leveraging your extensive networks within the financial services industry and our networks within the firm. Identify and pursue new business opportunities, fostering long-term client relationships. Drive successful key account management.
  • Remediation & Transformation: Lead consent order remediation efforts and financial crime change/transformation programs for large international banks.
  • Program Management: Oversee AML and Sanctions projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Leadership & Strategy: Serve as the US lead for financial crime consulting, helping drive the strategic direction and growth of the practice.
We are looking for people who have Forward Vision and:

  • Must be reliable and able to meet deadlines
  • Professional demeanor toward duties and responsibilities, particularly regarding independence, professional ethics, and the exercise of professional judgment
  • Highly Proficient verbal and written English communication skills; ability to communicate effectively
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and regulatory requirements.
  • Independent thinking skills to enable effective decision making related to engagements to include dynamic problem solving, risk assessment, quality control, and data and information evaluation
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 10 years or more of experience in financial crime investigations within a consulting firm and/or banking environment.
  • CAMS certification
  • Proven ability to develop and expand a book of business through strategic networking and business development efforts.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading consent order remediation efforts and managing large-scale financial crime transformation programs.
  • BA or BS in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to engage effectively with senior executives.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Highly motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently and drive initiatives with minimal supervision
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field

New York City Pay Transparency
Pursuant to the pay transparency laws of New York State and other local ordinances within the state including (but not limited to) New York City, the salary range displayed is for the New York markets. The salary for this role will be based on the experience, education, and skill set of the individual for the position. Total compensation and benefits consist of salary, group health plan benefits, 401(K), profit-sharing contributions, flexible time off, and parental leave. Forvis Mazars reserves the right to make changes to the salary range based on business needs.
