Summary of Position

Kinsley Materials is seeking an experiencedRebar Detailerfor our rebar fabrication shop located in York, PA. The Rebar Detailer will play a crucial role in generating rebar placement drawings essential for field personnel. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of two years of hands-on experience in rebar detailing.

Typical Responsibilities / Essential Functions

  • Read and interpret complex construction documents and drawings with accuracy.
  • Review plans and specifications for completeness and submit RFIs as needed.
  • Develop 2D placement drawings and materials lists using AutoCAD and aSa Bar List/Production programs based on project documents.
  • Prepare detailed takeoffs and coordinate with the Project Estimator to support effective project management and profitability.
  • Communicate with clients to troubleshoot field complications and ensure project needs are met.
  • Collaborate with shop personnel to resolve fabrication issues quickly and efficiently.
  • Work with senior team members to address items with long lead times or specific material requirements on a project-by-project basis.
  • Coordinate the final scope of work and fabrication schedule with clients.
  • Stay updated on industry technology and construction methods to improve production and quality.
  • Manage time effectively to meet project deadlines.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Experience & Education

  • Technical education certificate or degree in CAD or a related field preferred.
  • 2-5 years of experience as a rebar detailer (preferred).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team under tight deadlines.
  • Preferred experience with PennDOT projects related to rebar fabrication and supply.
  • Knowledge of concrete and/or masonry work is a plus.
