The Opportunity

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University Women's Lacrosse program is currently accepting applications for the Assistant Coach position. This role supports the head coach for women's lacrosse and is responsible for a variety of coaching, teaching and recruiting duties, along with practice and game-related functions as assigned by the head coach.

Job Description:

  • Provide instruction to women's lacrosse student-athletes on the fundamentals and strategies of lacrosse.
  • Assist in recruiting and retaining highly skilled student-athletes for the women's lacrosse team.
  • Actively support and promote the NCAA's Life in the Balance strategic positioning platform, embracing the six ideals of learning, balance, resourcefulness, sportsmanship, passion and service.
  • Assist in monitoring the academic progress of all women's lacrosse team members.
  • Maintain and manage team equipment.
  • Assist in securing donations and sponsorships to support the women's lacrosse program.
  • Assist with arranging for lodging and meals for team trips.
  • Assume duties of the head coach in his/her absence.
  • Other duties as assigned.

The violation of NCAA and Sunshine State Conference rules is prohibited and may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • (1-3) years of work-related experience

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Excellent communication skills (written or oral)
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Requires the ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with a diverse group of constituencies.
