Position Summary

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University seeks applications for a Program Coordinator for Prestigious Awards and Fellowships located on the Daytona Beach, FL campus. Reporting to the Director for Prestigious Awards and Fellowships, the candidate will be expected to manage daily office operations, including but not limited to, budgeting, purchasing, and event planning. They will also support the recruitment and advising of students for nationally competitive scholarships and fellowships on the Daytona Beach, Prescott, and Worldwide campuses by advertising and promoting award opportunities and assisting students with their application materials. The Program Coordinator for Prestigious Awards and Fellowships will manage student workers, handle large-scale communications efforts (newsletters, storytelling, etc.), and contribute to a high-functioning office that supports a significant number of students seeking awards and fellowships annually. The Program Coordinator for Prestigious Awards and Fellowships works closely with the Director for Prestigious Awards and Fellowships on all aspects of the Department's operations.

Responsibilities

1. Manage daily office operations such as budgeting, purchasing, data entry, and event planning.

2. Develop and manage large-scale advertising materials including web, print, and social media content.

3. Supervise student workers.

4. Participate in events such as tabling and orientations to promote the office's services.

5. Meet with students to review personal statements and essays to foster competitive application development.

6. Coach students on ways to strengthen their resumes to develop into strong candidates for nationally competitive scholarships and fellowships.

7. Assist with the development and delivery of virtual and in-person workshops.

8. Establish relationships with faculty and student groups from which to recruit.

9. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree

* One year of experience working with college-level students in an advising, mentoring, tutoring, teaching, or related capacity

* Strong written and oral communication skills

* Good organizational skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

* Experience with budget management

* Knowledge of Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications:

* Master's degree

* Experience creating newsletters, web content, flyers, and similar promotional materials
