Job Description

The Opportunity

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University's Worldwide campus is currently hiring adjunct faculty to teach ESCI 206- Fluid Mechanics.

Course Description

Physical characteristics of the fluid state. Fluid statics. Kinematics of fluid motion. Flow of an incompressible ideal fluid. The impulse-momentum principles. Similitude and dimensional analysis; fluid measurements.

Please note that ERAU policy requires that all adjuncts be physically located within the United States while working for the University, including duringtraining.Presently,we are able to support work for new adjuncts from all U.S. states exceptCalifornia.ERAU does not support work from international locations with some limited exceptions for individuals who are residing and working from U.S. military bases.

Qualifications

Required Education:

  • Doctorate with dissertation or Masters degree within the teaching discipline (see list below).

Applicable Professional Certification:

  • Professional Engineer's license
  • Project Management Institute certification

Desired Professional Training or Experience:

  • Engineering project management
  • Participation in engineering design reviews
  • Service on conceptual design teams for aerospace systems
  • Direction of or participation in laboratory testing of engineering systems

Degrees Within the Teaching Discipline:

  • Systems Engineering
  • Engineering (includes Aerospace, Aeronautical, Astronautics, Architectural, Civil, Construction, Mechanical, Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering)
  • Engineering Mechanics
  • Fluid Power Systems
  • Atmospheric Sciences and Meteorology
  • Atmospheric Physics and Dynamics
  • Chemical Engineering
  • Engineering Physics
  • Aeronautical or Aerospace Engineering Education
