The Opportunity: Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University - Worldwide is currently accepting applications for a Regional Student Recruitment Counselor position in the Department of University Enrollment Management. The Regional Student Recruitment Counselor (RC) is primarily responsible for regional recruitment, outreach, public relations, and marketing to meet enrollment goals for their designated region/market. Responsibility includes providing the civilian and military sectors with relevant information regarding University programs and services. Selected candidate must reside in the state of Florida. Job Roles and Responsibilities Include:
Develop a regional strategy to represent the University in a variety of forums and to meet and recruit prospective students. Select and recruit at local, regional and national college, transfer and military fairs. Select, arrange and visit community colleges, local industry partners and dual enrollment locations. Conduct University presentations regionally to individuals and groups of prospective students and businesses. Evaluate the effectiveness of all recruitment and engagement activities and events. Maintain contact with prospective students and leads through phone, email, Salesforce (CRM), and Marketing materials to provide career and/or pre-college counseling. Serve as a brand ambassador in messaging and public relations functions of the university. Participate in appropriate local events to establish contacts, promote programs, and recruit students and faculty. Foster relationships with appropriate contacts to include, Education Service Officers (ESO) (where applicable), Human Resource Managers, Training Managers, and Enrollment/Marketing liaisons, as applicable. Work closely with the Assistant Director of Student Recruitment (ADR), and other departments within Enrollment Management, to ensure coordination of all recruitment and admissions activities. Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in a related field
- 1-3 years of related experience
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
- Analytical skills with an in-depth knowledge of information systems and technical expertise with Microsoft operating systems, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook/email, and Internet end-user applications.
- Excellent customer service skills.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
- Marketing/advertising experience.
- Prior experience in higher education administration, marketing, and/or counseling.
- Aviation experience.
Requirements to be able to drive a university vehicle:
- Must possess and maintain a valid, US driver's license.
- Must meet the University's standards for approved drivers. Unacceptable driving records (as stated in the Use of Equipment and Vehicles Procedure 1.17) include the following (for three years from the date of each occurrence):
- Three (3) or more at-fault accidents and/or moving violations in the previous 36 months.
- Two (2) or more at-fault accidents or two (2) or more moving violations in the past year.
- Conviction for driving while impaired (DWI, DUI within the last five (5) years).
- Conviction for death by vehicle, hit and run, racing, careless and reckless driving, implied consent in the previous five (5) years.
- Serious violations result in immediate disqualification and revocation of driver privileges. The following are examples of serious violations:
- Speeding over 15 mph of the posted limit, driving under the Influence of alcohol or drugs, leaving the scene of an accident, reckless or careless driving, Use of vehicle in (drug trafficking, reckless homicide, soliciting), unlawful use of weapons, driving under suspension or revocation, fleeing a police officer, vehicle theft, Improper or illegal lane change, following too close, and passing a stopped school bus while stop sign is engaged.
