Acara Solutions is searching for a Guest Services Coordinator for our hospitality/healthcare client located in Baltimore, NY. This is a great opportunity to build a fulfilling career with a non-profit organization!

Schedule: 2 shifts to choose from-

  • Schedule #1: Thursday - Saturday 4P - 12A
  • Schedule #2: Saturday & Sunday 8A-4:30P

Position Type: Contract to hire with good work performance

Pay: $17.25/hr. Plus shift differential

10% differential 6pm - midnight ($18.98/hr.) and 15% differential all day Saturday & Sunday ($19.84/hr.)

JOB SUMMARY

The Guest Services Coordinator assists the team in operating a free hospitality house for cancer patients undergoing active outpatient cancer treatment and their caregivers. Ensures all policies and procedures are followed, and the safe operation of a lodge operating 24/7/365.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Guest Care: Ensure the safety and comfort of guests, volunteers, and visitors, addressing concerns quickly.
    • Guest Processes: Handle all guest interactions, including referrals, check-ins, and check-outs, following operational policies.
    • Shift Reviews: Update patient information and lodge status at the start and end of each shift.
    • Data Entry: Enter and report data accurately in relevant systems (HMS, Salesforce, etc.).
    • Staff Coverage: Fill in for staff or volunteers as needed, ensuring the lodge is always staffed.
    • Volunteer Support: Assist in training and retaining volunteers.
    • Community Engagement: Promote the lodge and host tours for community and healthcare groups.
    • Guest Development: Identify opportunities for guest and community engagement.
    • Clean and sanitize common areas and guest rooms.
    • Assist with laundry tasks as needed.

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • At least one-year experience in healthcare, social services, hospitality services, or volunteer management, or an equivalent combination of experience and education
  • Basic computer skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education preferred.
  • Excellent communication, customer service, analytic, computer. consulting skills and conflict resolution.
  • Ability to work independently and with minimum direction.
  • Remains calm even under highly stressful situations.
