JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Penn State Brandywine is seeking an Academic Adviser to coordinate advising services for the Division of Undergraduate Studies (DUS). Reporting to the Academic Advising Specialist, this position serves as a liaison among students, faculty, staff, campus, and university constituents and assists with university and college-sponsored recruitment and retention initiatives. The Adviser collaborates with colleagues across Penn State's Commonwealth Campuses to provide excellence in advising. DUS is the largest enrollment unit within Penn State for students who have not yet decided on a major. The Advising office serves as a general resource to faculty advisers in other academic majors and coordinates a variety of retention activities to increase student progress to degree completion. This position supports projects and undergraduate student success initiatives and University-level academic advising-related searches and committee work. Responsibilities:
Education and Experience Requirements: This position requires a Master's degree and 1+ year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Master's degree or equivalent in student development, counseling, education, or related field preferred. Experience in higher education preferred.
