Description ACARA Solutions and our defense client based in Canonsburg, PA, is offering a contract-to-direct hire opportunity available. Senior Advanced Engineering Technician $37.00-$42.00 per hour (DOE) Active DoD clearance (any level including interim) is required Key Responsibilities: Leadership and Mentorship: Guide and support new technicians in various engineering tasks, including the design, testing, modification, fabrication, and assembly of prototype electro-mechanical systems, experimental circuitry, laser/light transmission devices, and specialized test equipment. Complex Interpretations: Analyze and interpret detailed engineering drawings, diagrams, and schematics to understand and manage necessary interfaces. Advanced Troubleshooting: Execute complex system-level troubleshooting down to the component level. Technical Execution: Utilize schematics, diagrams, written and verbal instructions, and layout plans to perform testing, checkout, and troubleshooting. Equipment Management: Layout, build, calibrate, adjust, install, and maintain equipment, components, devices, or systems. Job Requirements Required Skills / Qualifications: Associate Degree Minimum of 5 years experience in specialized function and proficiency in the application and interpretation of complex specifications, requirements, standards, and practices Preferred Skills / Qualifications: Understands implications of work and provides applicable solutions Team player who thrives in collaborative environments and revels in team success Commitment to ongoing professional development Superior communication and collaboration skills Additional Information: Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen.
