JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: We are searching for Research Faculty to join our Fluids Research Department at the Applied Research Laboratory (ARL) at Penn State University. The Department is part of the Fluid Dynamics Division within the Fluid Dynamics and Acoustics Office, which has a long, successful history of providing innovative solutions and technology to a range of U.S. Government and Industry sponsors. ARL is an authorized DoD SkillBridge partner and welcomes all transitioning military members to apply. In this position, you will support and conduct basic and applied research in fluid mechanics, investigating a wide range of areas of hydrodynamics interest, including complex single and multi-phase flows, cavitating flows, marine vehicles, turbomachinery, and renewable energy production. Faculty rank will be commensurate with education level and experience. Minimum requirements include a Master's degree (PhD preferred) in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline plus 5 yearsof related experience. Your working location will be hybrid on-site/work from home, located in State College, PA. Some off-site travel will be required and extended off-site work may be required.
