JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: The Penn State Hazleton campus library is seeking applicants for a Federal Work-Study Library Assistant. This is a student position for the academic year with limited summer hours. A successful candidate must be willing to work some evenings and/or weekend shifts; weekday shifts are also available. Job responsibilities include: providing service at the front desk, processing library materials, performing shelf maintenance, conducting administrative tasks, and working on various special projects, as assigned. To be considered for this position, applicants must be a current student and must submit an online application. Applicants must have a Federal Work-Study award to be accepted for the position. CAMPUS SECURITY CRIME STATISTICS: Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR). The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters.
