Here's what you'd do:

The CNC Machinist will operate computer numerical control (CNC) machines to fabricate parts. The Machinist will load parts in the machine, cycle the machine, and detect malfunctions in machine operations, such as worn or damaged cutting tools. The role requires the ability to read and interpret technical blueprints and diagrams, ensuring the precise execution of machining tasks. The Machinist will also be responsible for maintaining quality and safety standards, keeping records, and maintaining equipment and supplies.
Set up and Operate CNC Machines:
  • Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the CNC machine.
  • Input the correct program codes into the machine.
  • Start and supervise the machine operations to ensure optimal performance.
  • Adjust machine settings to maintain high precision and accuracy.
  • Ability to program either at machine controller or desktop using CAM software
  • Ability to trouble shoot
Blueprint Interpretation:
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD designs.
  • Understand specifications and tolerances for each part.
Quality Control:
  • Inspect finished parts for accuracy and conformance to specifications.
  • Use precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Document and report any inconsistencies or defects.
Machine Maintenance:
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines.
  • Report any mechanical issues to maintenance personnel.
Safety and Compliance:
  • Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

Here's what you'll get:

Pay: $25-$35/hr; depending on experience.

Hours: 40 hours/week.

Length: Temp to Hire.

Shifts: M-F - 3:00PM to 11:30PM

Job Requirements
Here's what requirements you'll need:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience setting up, programming, and operating multi-axis CNC machines.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in an aerospace metal contract manufacturing environment (for US Government Prime contractors).
Here's what sets you apart from other candidates that our clients prefer:
  • Experience in machining complex, close-tolerance aerospace components.
  • CAMWorks software programming experience.
  • Experience with AS9100 and ISO 9001.
  • Ability to read/interpret complex blueprints, layouts, drawings, and instructions.
  • Basic Microsoft Office applications.
  • Must be able to adapt to various working conditions.
  • Knowledge of Geometric Tolerances (ANSI-Y 14.5), drawing interpretation, and shop math Basic math and geometry skills.
  • Vocational training.
  • Must be able to perform, with or without reasonable accommodation, all essential functions of the job.
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Must be able to communicate in the English language.

  • Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen

  • Must have or acquire and maintain all necessary tools measuring tools to support departmental work assignments.
  • Must be able to lift 501bs., moving between buildings with work orders, products, etc., multiple times a day.
  • Overtime as necessary to meet customer and project goals.
  • Properly wearing PPE as necessary.
  • Attending necessary training sessions.
  • Properly care for, clean, maintain, and inspect PPE as necessary.
  • Following the client's PPE policies and rules.
  • Informing the supervisor of the need to repair or replace PPE.
  • Safety Glasses, Hand Protection, Ear Protection, and Head Protection.
