The Position

The Translational Medicine function at Genentech has a vision to transform patient care through borderless, innovative, and rigorous translational science that will catalyze the development of new medicines, accelerate drug development timelines, and discover new therapeutic strategies. To fulfill our vision, we recruit talented and highly motivated scientists to develop and execute innovative biomarker and diagnostic strategies to drive clinical development through all phases of the portfolio and conduct foundational disease-oriented translational research to maximize our scientific and clinical impact. We are seeking a dedicated and independent Senior/Principal Scientist to lead lab-based translational research and discovery efforts in the clinical proteomics and mass spectrometry laboratory. The Opportunity: This is a hands-on, lab-based position that requires close collaboration with colleagues and departments across multiple functions in Genentech Research & Early Development (gRED). Relocation benefits are available for this job posting. The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of South San Francisco, California is $120,700-$224,100 (Senior Scientist) and $141,500-$262,900 (Principal Scientist). Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
