Position Overview

Riverside Research is seeking a seeking a certified Contract Specialist to support Agreements' Officers in the solicitation, evaluation, selection, and award of Prototype Other Transaction Agreements as defined by 10 U.S.C. 4022. The position will collaborate with teams of programmers, scientists and engineers, and is based in Mountain View, CA. This position requires U.S. citizenship.



Responsibilities

    Serve as the subject matter expert for contract and budget related issues, activities, and operations
  • Apply knowledge of relevant DoD technology acquisition and research services, as well as commercial best practices, and translate that to develop time-sensitive transition strategies
  • Assist with the evaluation and contracting of commercial technologies
  • Uses knowledge acquired through extensive on the job experience to develop solicitation documents, create appropriate evaluation factors, review and analyze vendor submissions; is able to appropriately determine award recommendation.
  • Organizes work, sets priorities, and determines resource requirements; determines short- or long-term goals and strategies to achieve them; coordinates with other organizations or parts of the organization to accomplish goals; monitors progress and evaluates outcomes


Qualifications

  • Required:

    • A minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree, 3 years with a Master's degree, a PhD without experience or equivalent experience is typically required for an employee at this level.
    • DoD Contracting Professional Certification or Equivalent
    • Minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience as a Contract Specialist; Research & Development Preferred
    • Knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR)
    • Sound written and oral communication skills; the ability to present complex matters clearly and simply; strong organizational skills; the ability to be proactive, take initiative and follow through
    • Demonstrated ability to gather and analyze a variety of data points (qualitative and quantitative) and whittle that information down to the most salient insights for the Portfolio's business needs.
    • Understand the expectations of supervisors/stakeholders/teammates and develop strong working relationships to achieve shared goals. Build strong relationships with both external candidates and internal business partners
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite of tools, including SharePoint

Global Comp

$140,000- $220,000 This represents the typical compensation range for this position based on experience, location and other factors.
