The Department of Surgery, Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School is seeking a plastic and reconstructive surgeon at the Assistant or Associate Professor level to join our growing faculty. Microsurgery fellowship training is preferred. Applicants should have an interest in microsurgical reconstruction of the breast, head and neck, and extremities as well as general reconstruction and gender affirmation surgery. Applicants should also be dedicated to resident training and education, as well as research. Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital is a 965-bed hospital and a Level 1 trauma center located thirty-five miles southwest for New York City serving central New Jersey.
As an attending at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, responsibilities will include all aspects of patient care and medical record completion, teaching of students and residents via clinical visits and patient rounds, attendance at General Surgery and Plastic Surgery Grand Rounds. Participation in departmental meetings, submission of abstracts/manuscripts for publication in peer reviewed journals, and other related duties are required as assigned by the Division Chief, Chair, or Dean.
Duties Include:
* Weekly clinic session(s)
* Rounding on plastic surgery patients
* Call requirements as required by the Division Chief
* Educating and mentoring residents and medical students
* Participation in Plastic Surgery research including presenting at regional/national conferences as well as publishing in peer reviewed journals
* Participation in residency program which will include but not limited to resident interviews, resident evaluations, and programs related to residency training |

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience |
Board Certified/Board Eligible Microsurgeon. MD required. Microsurgery fellowship preferred. |
