Posting Summary
The successful candidate for this postdoctoral fellow position will conduct behavioral neuroscience research in Dr. Samuels' laboratory. The goal of the research project will be to understand the role of the bed nucleus of stria terminalis in mediating the effects of chronic stress on behavior.

The candidate will engage in behavioral neuroscience research. Benchmarks for research progress will be structured during meetings with Dr. Samuels and Dr. Troy Roepke (a collaborator on the research project) every other week that will focus on data analyses, discussion of relevant papers, preparation of manuscripts and grant applications, independent thinking, project development, experimental design, and problem solving. When data analyses are complete, the successful candidate will prepare initial drafts of manuscripts for publication.

This position is grant funded.

Minimum Education and Experience
Candidate must have a PhD in Psychology, Neuroscience, or a related field prior to the start date and previous experience working with animal models used in behavioral neuroscience.

The preferred candidate will have experience in studying the interaction between sex differences and stress in rodents.
