Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Brunswick, NJ is seeking a full-time Thoracic Surgeon at the Assistant Professor level in an Academic setting. This position will also be affiliated with Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, RWJBarnabas affiliate hospital programs, and the Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey (
CINJ).
The responsibilities of this position include care of cardiothoracic patients and the teaching of residents and medical students. A demonstrated research interest and publication record are highly desirable. The appointee will participate in the full spectrum of thoracic surgical practice. The ideal candidate should have broad experience and knowledge of general thoracic surgery, including: endoscopy, esophageal,
VATS, and robotic surgery.
Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must 1) have a medical doctorate or equivalent, and 2) hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of New Jersey. The candidate would be expected to meet requirements for an appointment as an Assistant Professor of Surgery in the Department of Surgery and will be compensated commensurately.
