JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: The Penn State College of Medicine, Department of Pharmacology in Hershey, PA is seeking a non-tenure line Researcher. The individual should be a highly motivated researcher with expertise in synthetic and analytical chemistry, molecular docking, and drug discovery. The Researcher will utilize chemical synthesis, molecular modeling, and medicinal chemistry approaches to design and synthesize small drug-like molecules and purify and characterize them using analytical and physical techniques. A PhD in Organic Chemistry/Medicinal Chemistry is required with at least 4 years of post-doctoral/research experience is preferred. Skills and knowledge in nano-formulation for drug delivery and xenograft/in vivo models are preferred. Applicant should have the ability to work in a collaborative work environment. Hershey, PA has a college town atmosphere with superb public schools, a vigorous cultural and entertainment environment, and a variety of housing choices within minutes of Penn State College of Medicine and Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. The town is only minutes from the state capital in Harrisburg and larger metropolitan areas such as Philadelphia, Baltimore, Washington DC, and New York, are a few hours' drive. This is a limited-termnon-tenure lineposition funded for one year from date of hire, with possibility of refunding.
