LOCATION: STROGER HOSPITAL/AMBULATORY PROCEDURES/ENDOSCOPY JOB SUMMARY Under the direction of the Nursing Coordinator II, the Endoscopy Technician prepares the endoscopy room and equipment and provides direct assistance during procedures. Cleans and sterilizes, performs high level disinfection and maintenance of scopes, equipment and supplies used to during endoscopic procedures. Responsible for collecting biopsies during procedures and preparation/transport of specimen to the laboratory. Assists with admission, recovery and discharge. Follows established infection control/prevention policies and procedures. This position is exempt from Career Service under the CCH Personnel Rules. Typical Duties
