Rutgers NJ Medical School seeks a full time academic candidate at the Assistant Professor level to support the growth of the Renal Disease program within the Department of Medicine. Time will be spent on campus, providing inpatient and outpatient care, and participating in the education of medical students and residents, and in research. Additionally, time will be spent in community dialysis centers, ensuring continuity of care for our complex patient population. |

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience |
The candidate must have an MD or DO Degree, with BC/BE in Nephrology and demonstrated ability to work within a healthcare team to achieve clinical care goals. The selected candidate will join disease specific multi-disciplinary research and treatment teams, and have a strong commitment to the education of medical students and residents. |

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities |
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Provide supervision in the Ambulatory Care Center for Nephrology Fellow Practices, as assigned by the Division Director;
- Serve as the Attending Physician on the inpatient and outpatient clinical Nephrology services as assigned;
- Develop your Faculty Practice in the specialty of Nephrology within the Department of Medicine practice in the DOC/ACC or in other locations as assigned;
- Provide consult to all services as requested for Renal diseases and for all forms of dialysis;
- Provide supervision in outpatient dialysis centers as identified by the Division Director;
- Provide night and weekend coverage as assigned by the Division Director and/or Department Chair;
- Supervise and teach medical students, residents, and fellows;
- Participate fully in the teaching, research and service activities of the Division of Nephrology in the University Hospital, the Ambulatory Care Center, the Doctor
- Office Center, and other sites/locations as determined by the Division Director and or the Chair of the Department;
- Participate in the management of Hepatitis C in Chronic Kidney Disease and dialysis patients;
- Complete medical records within 30 days of the date of service;
- Complete all charge submissions within 14 days of the date of service
- Complete Medicare time studies or such other documents required for documenting services under the program and for documenting services;
- Fulfill other responsibilities as assigned by the Division Director and/or the Chair of the Department.
