Job Description

Sellers & Associates, LLC (S&A) is seeking aOperations Analyst IIin Virginia Beach, VA.

Operations research analysts help determine better ways to coordinate and manage large organizations that require the effective use of money, materials, equipment,and people. This is accomplished by applying analytical methods from mathematics, science, and engineering. Operations research analysts may be concerned with diverse issues such as top-level strategy, planning, forecasting, resource allocation, performance measurement, scheduling, the design of production facilities and systems, supply chain management, pricing, transportation and distribution, and the analysis of large databases. Analysts gather information, then select the most appropriate analytical technique. Analysts can use any of several techniques, including simulation, linear and nonlinear programming, dynamic programming, queuing and other stochastic-process models, and the analytic hierarchy process. Most techniques involve the construction of mathematical models that attempt to describe the system being studied. The use of models enables the analyst to assign values to the different components and clarify therelationships among them. The values can be altered to examine what may happen to the systemunder different circumstances.


Job Responsibilities

  • Analyze operational data and processes to identify trends, issues, and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize business processes and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess operational effectiveness and recommend improvements.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports and analyses to management, highlighting findings and proposed solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and effective execution of operational strategies.
  • Support the implementation of new processes, tools, and systems to improve operational performance.
  • Conduct root cause analysis to resolve operational issues and prevent recurrence.
  • Provide training and support to team members on best practices and process improvements.

Job Requirements
Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in an operations analyst or Business Operation Supportor similar role.
  • 5+ years of experience supporting DOD and/or DON programs
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.


Must Have

  • Active Secret Clearance
  • Proven experience in analyzing operational data and processes.
  • Ability to develop and implement strategies for process improvement.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.


Nice to Have

  • Experience with project management methodologies.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific operational best practices.
  • Experience with ERP or other enterprise-level software systems.
  • Advanced certifications in operations management or data analysis.
