Job Description

Sellers & Associates, LLC (S&A) is seeking a Data Analyst / Project Manager to work on-site inWashington, DC.

The successful candidate will play a critical role inDeveloping, implementing, and maintaining a leading-edge analytics systems.You will work closely with clients and project managers to understand and maintain focus on their analytics needs, including critical metrics and KPIstodeliver actionable insights to relevant decision-makers.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Project Planning and Management:

    • Assist with project planning, management, and task execution.
    • Understand and apply Project Management concepts, including Waterfall and Agile methodologies.




  • Analytics Systems Development:

    • Develop, implement, and maintain advanced analytics systems to address complex problems with simple, effective frameworks.
    • Collaborate closely with clients and project managers to understand their analytics needs, focusing on critical metrics and KPIs.
    • Deliver actionable insights to relevant decision-makers.




  • Data Management:

    • Develop and maintain databases by acquiring data from primary and secondary sources.
    • Build scripts to enhance the flexibility and scalability of data evaluation processes across various datasets.




  • Data Mining, Modeling, and Visualization:

    • Perform data mining to extract useful information from large datasets.
    • Develop predictive and descriptive models to support business decision-making.
    • Utilize data visualization tools to present data in an easily understandable format for stakeholders.
    • Create interactive dashboards and reports to communicate key findings and insights.




  • Data Collection and Reporting:

    • Collect, compile, track, and manage program data calls from Project Managers.
    • Provide senior leadership with sound analysis to facilitate data-driven decisions.
    • Perform quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) of project schedules and dashboards.
    • Proactively develop strategies to mitigate potential risks.




  • Project Support:

    • Support Project Managers with assessments, reporting, planning, and long-term forecasting.
    • Assist technical leads and managers in interacting with Government activities and stakeholders.
    • Review and document technical progress, providing scheduling updates at project reviews as needed.



Job Requirements
Job Requirements:

  • 3+ Years of experience with developing, assessing and managing project schedules.
  • 3+ years of experience in applying Data Mining and Data Modeling
  • 3+ years of experience with Oracle Primavera
  • Strong understanding of Project Management concepts, including Waterfall and Agile methodologies.
  • Experience in QA/QC of project schedules and dashboards.
  • Hands on experience with data manipulation and analysis using tools such as Microsoft Excel, Visio, SQL, or VBA
  • Experience in applying complex mathematical and statistical concepts
  • Experience employing spreadsheets for data manipulation and visualization.
  • Working knowledge of schedule risk analysis, critical path analysis, and schedule analysis tools.



Must Have:

  • Active SECRET Clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, computer Science, Statistics, or related field. Education may be substitute for experience.
  • Strong SQL or Excel Skills
  • Data mining / modeling and visualization experience


Nice to Have:

  • PMI PMP or PMI-SP certification preferred
  • Experience with Data Visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Qlik is HUGE PLUS
  • Experience with ETL tools such as Informatica, Talend, ODI, InfoSphere is a HUGE PLUS
