Job Description

Sellers & Associates, LLC (S&A) is seeking aElectrical / Electronics Engineer IVto work on our client's site inWashington, DC.

The Electrical / Electronics Engineer IV is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and supervising the manufacturing of electrical and electronic equipment. This includes broadcast and communications systems, electric motors, machinery controls, lighting and wiring in buildings, automobiles, aircraft, radar and navigation systems, and transmission devices used by electric utilities. The engineer will specialize in areas such as power generation, transmission, distribution, communications, and electrical equipment manufacturing. The role involves designing new products, writing performance requirements, developing maintenance schedules, testing equipment, solving operating problems, and estimating project time and cost.


Job Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and supervise the manufacturing of electrical and electronic equipment.
  • Work on systems including broadcast and communications, electric motors, machinery controls, lighting, and wiring in various platforms such as buildings, automobiles, aircraft, and more.
  • Specialize in power generation, transmission, distribution, communications, or electrical equipment manufacturing.
  • Design new products and write detailed performance requirements.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules for electrical and electronic systems.
  • Test equipment to ensure functionality and safety, solving any operating problems that arise.
  • Estimate the time and cost required to complete engineering projects.
  • Collaborate closely with computer systems and software to enhance product development and system efficiency.
  • Conduct research to stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and other team members.

  • Master's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering.
  • 10+ years of professional experience in electrical or electronics engineering.
  • Extensive experience in designing, developing, testing, and supervising the manufacturing of electrical and electronic equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of power generation, transmission, distribution, communications, and electrical equipment manufacturing.
  • Proficiency in writing performance requirements and developing maintenance schedules.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to estimate project time and cost accurately.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Proficiency in using computer systems and software relevant to electrical and electronic engineering.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations.


Must Have

  • Active Secret Clearance
  • Proven experience in electrical/electronics engineering with a focus on design, development, testing, and manufacturing supervision.
  • Expertise in specialized areas such as power generation, transmission, distribution, or communications.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to write detailed performance requirements and develop maintenance schedules.
  • Proficiency in estimating project time and costs.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.


Nice to Have

  • Professional certifications in electrical or electronics engineering.
  • Experience in advanced areas such as radar and navigation systems, or electric utilities transmission devices.
  • Familiarity with emerging technologies and industry trends.
  • Experience leading engineering teams or projects.
  • Knowledge of sustainability practices and environmental impact analysis in electrical/electronics engineering.
