Completion of Board accredited training programs in General Obstetrics/Gynecology. Board certified or eligible in General Ob/Gyn.

Standing, sitting, walking, talking or hearing. No special vision requirements.

Overview

1.Assists in teaching and supervision of the Ob/Gyn residents

2.Provides house coverage which includes covering the ED; including working with the clinic patients in the hospital

3.Provides competent assessment, treatment and/or care to patients in the clinic and in the hospital

4.Oversees and participates in Ob house call which includes covering the ED

5.Properly and fully completes all forms and records provided by the hospital to accurately document treatment provided

6.Requests consultation with other professionals as needed

7.Responds to consultation requests on a timely basis in accordance with medical staff rules and regulations

8.Assists in the development of preventive medical measure and health maintenance programs for the community and the implementation and follow up on any screening programs developed by RWJBH

9.Participates in quality assurance activities and appropriate reporting procedures

10.Assists in the development of, and assures compliance with, those policies and procedures related to clinical activities

11.Participates in the development of patient education programs

12.Seeks and maintains appropriate appointment to the attending medical staff of RWJBH

13.Performs other duties as agreed upon

14.Understands and adheres to Rutgers' compliance standards as they appear in RWJBH's Corporate Compliance Policy, Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policy.

15.Performs other related duties as assigned.
